LA film composer and guitarist Brady Cohan collates his fascinating series for solo guitar and electronics with the the moody sparsity of Studies: Collection, available for the first time as a physical product. Brady describes Studies as “a study in gestures”.

Thematically, the collection acts as a round-up of the musical landscapes ventured across three EPs. The same skilled, agile handling of guitar and electronics; the same radical chill of downtown LA’s vital jazz scene; the same distillation of musical mastery honed by years of composing filmscore.

This new edition unites the lush, slow-mo Malibu balm of the first EP with rarefied and subtle intensity of the second and the deconstructed, cubist guitar journeys of part three.
